Atatürk Olympic Stadium

Atatürk Olympic Stadium is a famous football stadium, locating in İkitelli, a district in the western outskirts of Istanbul. It is widely regarded as the biggest football stadium in Turkey, with a capacity of 76,092 spectators now. The football stadium is named as Mustafa Kemal Atatürk in the honor of the founder and the number one president of the country. Having started from 1999, the football stadium was inaugurated after two years. Under the name of “5-star sports complex”, the famous football stadium is qualified enough for UEFA events. In addition, a significant competition between club Milan and club Liverpool was hold at the stadium in 2005.

The football stadium was proposed for the 2008 Olympic Games. The modern new football stadium was constructed with 134 entrances and 148 exit gates to response emergency condition, allowing all spectators getting out of the football stadium in short time. Technical fundamental infrastructure and high fidelity sound system were installed.
