A Dutch backpacker in Soweto?

Soweto is 'home' to 3,5 million people, and 1 Dutchman.

Apart from the fact that I'm setting up a business here I am an official Soweto Tour Guide and the South African representative for the Dutch based Soweto Support Foundation.

Tour guiding is a hobby for me. It's nice to share my local knowledge and experience with others. It also has it's advantages for the organisations I work with who are able to expose themselves to people from all over the world.

You might think: this guy is either completely mad or real born optimists. Well, perhaps a bit of both.
I believe the perspective that people have about Soweto does not reflect today's reality.
Soweto is a vibrant place which displays all African lifestyles to it's fullest where crime is no worse than in many major cities around our globe.

The best way to show off that visiting Soweto is very worth wile is to not just to live there but to invite as many people as possible and share the experience with them.
